Let's take a trip, just you and me, Through the blue and sparkling sea. I'll give you a ride upon my tail. You'll see what it's like to be a whale. We'll leap and dive and chase the fish, Then swim and splash as long as we wish. And when we're done and playing in the icy deep, We'll let the waves rock us to sleep.

Cooking at the View Point Inn very interesting. I'm starting to really like the idea of spending more time there. Love the area. Dad hung out and did some exploring while I cooked and then we checked the Sandy river out. Very cool. I also thnk my special friend in HK would love it here. So much outdoor stuff to do. Fucked up that he can't be here with me. Bitter sweet. I also think my parents would totally take to him. Spending so much time with my dad I've realised that my love interest in HK and my dad have the same sense of humor and are interested in the same types of things.

Lunch again with Frank Nelson.... crazy old nut.... so fun.... This time dad tagged along. I'm enjoying spending time with my old man so much. He's really lightened up in his old age. My dad has a way of amuzing people and making them feel comfortable that I really envy.

Great time with Mat sitting infront of a pub on 3rd street reminicing... All that after spending the day at the library researching recipes. Great to see the library being so busy! Lost of people down there of all ages taking advantage of the facilities. Wonderful.
Went to Costco and had full on culture shock. Our consumption in the US is so grotesque. Further we really do pay too much for food. Costco is one of the cheapest places and the cost of goods is higher than the products would cost per unit in Hong Kong......

Brilliant coffee chat with the director of sales for a major Oregon hotel chain. So wonderful to get insights from someone who knows the ins and outs of Oregon's hospitality industry.
Lunch with a high school buddy. Nice to see how great people turn out. cool guy. loved hearing his story.

Lunch with Frank Nelson proved to be very interesting. The man has done so much in his 80+ years.... I wanna be just like him.
Spent the bulk of the afternoon researching recipes.
